OUMF, Montreal’s biggest Back-to-School festival, unveils its 2016 lineup including a kick ass music programming signed M for Montreal!
From MARIE-PIERRE ARTHUR’S soft rock to LA BRONZE’s pop and SAMITO’s world music, you’ll hear several styles on the main stage come Thursday, September 8. For its part, the Scène La Vitrine will host a more rock-focussed lineup with bands I.D.A.L.G, Corridor and newcomers ZEN BAMBOO.
Friday’s evening will be an absolute CAN’T MISS for fans of hip hop. You’ll see up and coming local acts like HUSSER, BROWN and BAD NYLON, a rap battle between FREDDY GRUESUM and ARNO brought to you by Québec’s own WordUp! Battle, topped off by performances from JUNO Award nominated DJ SKRATCH BASTID and the Fresh Prince‘s BFF, none other than DJ JAZZY JEFF!
Our last day will please hip hop fans once again, but that does not mean that indie-folk fans will be left hanging. Rap trio LOUD LARY AJUST will close out the festival on Saturday, September 10. Before them, the main stage will host rapper RYMZ and duo HEART STREES. KARIM OUELLET will also be part of the party, setting the mood with a DJ set. For a special evening presented by CHOM 97.7, the ScèneLa Vitrine will welcome Australian singer-songwriter HEIN COOPER, folk act EGO DEATH and five-piece JOHN JACOB MAGISTERY.
On top of music, OUMF mixes comedy, street art and a lot more! This 2016 edition is presented in collaboration with the 3 Brewers Microbrewery.
